Introducing Her Next Chapters, a gathering space for women building connection & community.
What is this?
A place where women come together to share resources, have real
conversations, and support each other through life's changes.
We meet monthly. Each gathering explores a different topic—from
widowhood to wellness to planning ahead—but the real value is
the community we're building together.
These gatherings are free, open to all women, and better with
friends!
What happens next?
You'll get an email welcoming you to the community, plus details on our next gathering.
Between events, we'll share helpful resources and insights, but promise not to flood your inbox. These gatherings are better with you there!

Meet your host
Hi, I'm Laurie.
I started Her Next Chapters because I know what it's like to feel alone in the overwhelm.
When my dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's and my mom with cancer, I became the person making decisions I'd never expected to face—coordinating care, signing paperwork, trying to hold everything together while working and raising my own family.
I made mistakes. I signed things in a rush I didn't fully understand. I felt like I was constantly one step behind. And I kept thinking: "Why doesn't anyone talk about this? Why isn't there a place where women who are going through this can just... connect?"
So I created one.
Her Next Chapters is about creating space where women can share what they've learned, ask the questions they're afraid to ask elsewhere, and know they're not the only one feeling overwhelmed, guilty, or completely lost.
Sometimes you need a friend who gets it more than you need advice.
These gatherings are that space. Where we can talk about the tough stuff (guilt, confusion, grief, burnout) and the practical stuff (who to call, what to ask, how to coordinate care) without judgment.
Through DVB Financial, I now help families navigate these transitions with hands-on support. But Her Next Chapters is different. It's about connection, and building community and relationships before crisis hits.
Come once to see if it's for you and feel free to bring a friend or two who might need this too!
See you there,
Laurie
